Congratulations to Dr. Matthew McNevin, Executive Assistant Jennifer Nelson, the Medical Radiation Technologists/Diagnostic Imaging Team and Volunteer Norah Martel.
Dr. Matthew McNevin is an Anesthetist who is nominated for his commitment to provide excellent patient care before, during and after their surgeries. As the Chief of Anesthesia, Dr McNevin is as committed to the Anesthesia Team as he is to his patients. “Matt McNevin works tirelessly to keep the Anesthesia Team organized” shared his nominator. “We are truly grateful to have him as our leader”. His dedication to patients and colleagues is greatly appreciated!
Executive Assistant Jennifer Nelson supports the Corporate Services team at WDMH. Jennifer is always ready to lend a hand and goes the extra mile with all tasks she completes. Whether she is organizing a recreation event for staff or supporting her team’s initiatives, Jennifer is always thinking about how things can be improved. Her nominator also notes that “Jennifer is a great sounding board for ideas and solutions. She uses her experience to guide her decision making and when providing guidance to others.” Thank you for all you do, Jennifer.
WDMH’s Medical Radiation Technologists/Diagnostic Imaging Team is the recipient of the Team Commitment award to acknowledge their commitment to collaboration and their team approach for a successful CT Scanner replacement project. Having multiple nominations, the entire team was adaptable to continuous changes and challenges, all while providing exceptional care to patients. “Collaboration has been the heart of their success,” one nominator shared. “What truly sets the DI team apart is their unwavering flexibility and collaborative spirit,” states another. ‘The DI Team has been a shining example of resilience, excellence, one team and patient-centered care.”

Whether it is greeting patients at the front desk, working in the gift shoppe or in day surgery, her support to patients and staff is always appreciated. She is also a mentor to new volunteers, always willing to share her time and experience. Her nominator states, “Norah’s contributions are a shining example of Compassionate Excellence—serving not only with skill and commitment, but with heart.” We are grateful for your continued dedication to our hospital, Norah!
