Dundas Manor Welcomes New Director of Care
January 20, 2026
Dundas Manor is happy to welcome Eric Joncas as its new Director of Care. Eric brings more than 30 years of nursing experience to Dundas Manor, much of it gained in hospitals across the United States. His background includes extensive work in Emergency Departments, along with 15 years in nursing leadership roles.
Originally from Cornwall, Eric is happy to be back in Canada and serving a local community. “I chose Dundas Manor because it has a wonderful reputation,” he shared. “I was looking for an opportunity to work in a smaller community where I could make a positive impact on the residents and staff.”
While returning home and transitioning into long-term care has been a significant change, Eric says the welcoming and supportive Dundas Manor team has made the move much easier.
Eric also brings a wealth of experience from working on major building projects throughout his career; something that will be especially helpful as Dundas Manor moves into the final stages of its new building. The team is excited to benefit from the insight, compassion, and leadership he brings to the role.
Eric steps into the role previously held by Ursula Lamoureux, who has served as Director of Care at Dundas Manor for the past nine years. As part of a planned succession for her retirement, Ursula will be mentoring Eric in the months ahead and will also turn her attention to supporting the transition of clinical operations to the new Dundas Manor.
